I took this week over the Easter holidays to chill out with my children while my partner continued to work.

I didn’t switch the laptop on. I didn’t work. And I didn’t think about work.

I read some books. I took notes from some of the courses I’ve done and how I can apply them to my work. I spent my time in the outdoors teaching my children how to ride a bike. Went for nice walks. I was cooking. Looking after my plants and spent time in the garden in the hope they will fruit and provide me with some veg to cook some dinner.

I may start running again while my children cycle. Could be a win-win. Fingers crossed.

Switching off is much needed. It was refreshing. I must continue to do this.
